Re: Another Cuisenaire® Rods Question

We did not use the Cuisenaire Rods after 1st grade. I don't think that Calvert included the punch-out rods in their 2nd grade textbook. The rods are definitely not necessary for 3rd grade math.

We are on lesson 47 in first grade and my dd is supposed to fill in a chart (Explore activity 11) about North and South America. more than one test at a time...

My daughter is doing the 1st grade curriculum and whizzing through the math. Has anyone out there sent in two math tests with the regularly scheduled test? For example, I would like to send in test #20 for Math, Reading, and Phonics...along with test #40 for Math...at once. Can this be done, or should...

The Word Wall is a list of (mostly) sight words, such as The, Their, Been. It is also very useful during writing lessons. My son will look at the Word Wall and locate the word he's trying to spell, write it down, and continue with his composition. I should mention that words are added periodically...
