Saxon Algebra

I used Saxon Algebra 1 with DIVE this year with my 7th grader and liked it. Next year I was looking at the new Saxon Teacher to use instead of DIVE for Algebra 2. Does anyone know anything about this program?

Thanks, Marjie. I took a peek at the math sample pages that are on Calvert's on-line catalog, and it looks pretty good. I also visited Teaching Textbooks' website. That program also looks good; however, the lag time on my computer made it frustrating to thumb through. They will be at the curriculum...

son will finish 3rd grade math way early

He is on lesson 60 of regular 3rd grade and at lesson 110 in math. He just flies through the math. I am think I will just spread the remaining math out through the year. Can 4th grade math be started without the other 4th grade curriculum? He is going to be seriously bummed that his 3 favorite topics...

Math for K

How it the math part of the Calvert K program? I keep seeing everyone talk about Saxon math. Should I order that in addition to the Calvert curriculum? Thanks.

Re: Another Cuisenaire® Rods Question

We did not use the Cuisenaire Rods after 1st grade. I don't think that Calvert included the punch-out rods in their 2nd grade textbook. The rods are definitely not necessary for 3rd grade math.

I'm so sad...

I apparently purchased K back in March. I found out when I called Calvert this morning and they confirmed it. My DH went in the attic and sure enough found the box. Everything was there brand new, except some paper and my... MATH!!!!!! I am so heartbroken. I really wanted my daughter to use the Calvert...

I don't know what TouchMath is, but I second the change to work text format, copying problems can add too much time to our day.
